Luxury Chamber, Veterans Chamber launching chapters

Two new chambers of commerce are launching in the Valley, but each are targeting very different audiences.

The Luxury Chamber of Commerce is a South Florida-based organization aimed at the affluent. Founded by Jay Shapiro last August, the group hosts events at various locations for the wealthy or those involved with luxury goods and services, such as yacht brokers, Cadillac sales agents and jewelers.

The United States Veterans Chamber of Commerce is opening a chapter for the first time outside of its Texas base. It will be led by Ray Ragan, an Iraq War veteran and Valley resident. The year-old organization was founded by a group of Dallas veterans.

“If there’s one thing I learned in the Army: You can do good things individually, but for the great things, you need a team,” said Ragan.
